Good talking to you this morning! Yes, ...Hey Steve
Good talking to you this morning! Yes, I agree, man's creative efforts do indeed reflect God's image. Architecture is another way the unbeliever gives glory to God as he seeks his own glory.
First, I am glad you enjoy the design of your workplace. It is a stunning display. As I looked at the pictures, my first thought was, “Wow, that’s a lot of effort just to house a business…I mean--desks, hallways, bathrooms—let’s get down to work! What’s the need for all the 'award winning design'?” I mean, that sucka cost some serious $$ right?
I’m glad it was a Godthread in your life at that time, that is, the beauty of your campus. Funny thing is, my reaction to the group of photos was not as illuminating. The design felt cold and so very “male” to me. That stairway reminded me of Atlanta Federal Penitentiary, with those vertical ties, one after another. Standing in the center of the place I’m sure impacts one entirely different.
For me, it was Francis Schaeffer who became the first Christian thinker that discussed art and design.
See;
The God Who is There by Francis Schaeffer
Art and the Bible by Francis Schaeffer
Imagine-A Vision for Christians in the Arts by Steve Turner
Books by Calvin Seerveld & Hans Rookmacher, especially on Modern Art and Jazz.

You da man in demand!Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17275421526588363943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591706.post-1092232464404755852004-08-11T09:54:00.000-04:002004-08-11T09:54:00.000-04:00I love your perspective on the world and our place...I love your perspective on the world and our place as followers of Jesus.Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07474668842668408006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591706.post-1092229406745471142004-08-11T09:03:00.000-04:002004-08-11T09:03:00.000-04:00You work in marketing/circulation, right?
