A Poll for Readers of Emergesque

Would you in comments let me know with which of these statements you agree?

Statement #1 - Stephen, most of the time when you link to folks, I already have seen it because you tend to link a lot to A-List Emerging Church Bloggers.

Statement #2 - Stephen, thanks for your linking because it usually is the first time I'm seeing whatever it is that you are talking about.

Thanks everyone. I just don't want to waste your time with redundant linking.

And I think this may be the very first time I've posted something and not linked to anything!! :)

I agree with this statement, or mostly. A lot of the links are perhaps to "A-List" bloggers (who probably hate being categorized), but more significantly, these and many others which are linked are often to blogs which are aggregated at Planet Emergent or DTour... which is a good use of syndication. When someone is taking the trouble to manually link one of these blog entries, I look for their comments on or response to what they're linking, as this provides perspective and furthers the conversation. (btw, this is a great application for trackbacks, which Blogger just doesn't get.)

hth.

Half and half - I've found a lot of good stuff through you.

Mostly I find stuff through you or the Vertically-Endowed Volume-Deficient New Zealander.

Some comments on the reasons why you link to certain things might be interesting, but I'd probably keep coming here anyways.

I am a #2 guy. I come here more than the so-called a-list blogs to get links. Keep linking.

Stephen, I'm a blend of the two comments - you capture a broad range of emergent material so in some ways function like a one-stop "shop." Oftentimes you also have some quite unique stuff which falls outside of "emergent" circles. That interests me as well.
